520 ## $aThe thesis is carried out to achieve two specific objectives as follow: Finding out the phonological, syntactic, and lexical features of English advertising slogans of cars; suggesting some possible implications for writing effective, impressive, and fascinating car advertising slogans. In order to conduct this research, descriptive method and qualitative method were used. Some findings of the research were drawn on at phonological, syntactic, and lexical level. In terms of phonological features, there were only 4% of collected data using rhymes and 8% of the data using alliteration in creating advertising slogans of cars. In terms of syntactic features, noun phrases with 89 % ranked the highest position meanwhile verb phrases ranked the second most common trend, which hold up to 65%. Questions and exclamations were most rarely used in advertising slogans of cars, which accounted for only 5% for each one. The findings also showed the use of short simple sentences and imperative sentences in advertising slogans of cars but not very outstanding. In terms of lexical features, the thesis found out that “drive” and “good” were the most favorable verb and adjective in advertising slogans of cars. Personal pronoun “you” was commonly used in the collected data. While there was a high frequency use of brand names appearing in car slogans with 39 %, comparisons were not very common.
