520 ## $aResearch purposes: To investigate the forms of current liguistic phenomenon of code-sitching used in conversations at a high school and to determine how code-switching used by the teachers in classroom interactions and learners’ attitude toward teachers’ code-switching. Methods of the study: The study uses a number of methods including Classroom observation, Classrecording, Writing fiels notes, Interviewing, Questionaires. Results of the study: To find out that the forms of code- switching getting more such as tag switching , borrowing... The teachers use them in teaching grammar, vocabulary or classroom management more effectively and students get used to understanding the contents of lectures more easily. Conclusion: This thesis has focused on studying the forms and reasons of teachers’ code-switching while teaching students in classroom at Viet Bac high school in Lang Son city. It also explores teachers' opinions towards Vietnamese and English code-switching, and the students’ attitude toward the lectures with code-switching in the classroom. Due to the limitation of time, research data and the limited knowledge of the author, mistakes and shortcoming are unavoidable. As a result, suggestions for a further study are given.
