520 ## $aThis study investigates the syntactic features and expression exclamations in English and its Vietnamese equicalent in the novel “If tomorrow comes”. It is conducted with the hope of finding out the similarities and differences between how exclamations are formed in both languages and suggesting practical applications to the learning and teaching of English as a foreign language in Vietnam. The methods used in this study are descriptive and comparative methods. Data used for analysis in this study were mainly collected from the novel “If tomorrow comes” by Shidney Seldom . 248 data are collected. The result of the study illustrates the fact that exclamations in the novel “ If tomorrow comes” and its Vietnamese equivalent are quite similar in syntactic and semantic features.The implications of the study are to help the learners of English learn English exclamations effectively.
