520 ## $aVerbal communication is an important aspect in human life. The study of verbal communication is known as pragmatics. Pragmatics focuses on the intended meaning of individuals, their hypotheses, their objective or objectives, and the form of action. Using Grice's cooperative principle and its associated maxims as a foundation, the purpose of this study is to conduct a pragmatic analysis of the conversationally indicated meaning or implicature included within the script for the movie Aladdin. This study's primary objective is to determine how utterances can go beyond their literal meaning through the disobedience or flouting of certain principles by the speaker in dialogue, as flouting maxims is a particularly effective means of eliciting an inference from an addressee, and thus recovers an implicature or implied meaning. There are three research issues observed here: the implicatures that occur in Aladdin movie script, the type of each conversational implicature and the function of each conversational implicature in Aladdin movie script. The study's research design is a qualitative approach employing content analysis. This investigation will focus on three research concerns that are associated with flouting maxim and conversational implicature. The utterances in the Aladdin script that contain implicature are what make up the data. The study's findings describe the procedure for identifying conversational implicatures., the type of each conversational implicature and the function of each conversational implicature. The act of flouting maxims might lead to the development of implication. There are two varieties of implicature: generalized and particularized implicature. There are four specific function categories known as representatives, directives, expressives, and commissives. The writer hopes that the topic of conversational implicature in diverse fields such as advertisements, television shows, newspapers, etc. will be investigated by other researchers.
