520 ## $aThis study investigates the use of digital tools to support English vocabulary development among primary school learners in Hanoi. With the rapid development of digital technology, vocabulary instruction for young learners has increasingly incorporated online resources; however, limited research has examined the use of freely accessible platforms in Vietnamese primary classrooms. To address this gap, the study employed a classroom-based action research approach following the Kemmis and McTaggart (1992) model, consisting of two instructional cycles. The research focused on the integration of three digital tools - LearnEnglish Kids, ESL Games Plus, and Easy Games - into vocabulary instruction to examine their influence on students’ vocabulary development and learning engagement. The participants were primary school learners in Hanoi, and data were collected through multiple instruments, including pre-tests and post-tests to measure vocabulary improvement, classroom observations to examine learners’ engagement, and teacher journals and student diaries to document students’ learning processes, challenges, and responses to the use of digital tools. The findings indicated that the integration of digital tools led to noticeable improvements in students’ English vocabulary development.
