520 ## $aThe current research aims to explore the impacts of applying a Quizizz digital platform to enhance the freshmen non-English majors’ lexical competence at a College in Hanoi. It is an advanced approach to teaching in the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution. The research was examined on Freshmen non-English majors students who are enrolled in Industrial Electricity classes 1 and 3 from Hanoi College of High Technology, with a total sample of 60 students. The study used a mixed-methods approach and employed a quasi-experimental research design. It means combining both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative data were collected from the same pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in lexical competence. The qualitative data were gathered from semi-structured interviews and classroom observations to gain a deeper understanding of learners’ experiences, engagement, and motivation when using Quizizz. The findings revealed that while both traditional and Quizizz-based methods led to significant gains in lexical competence knowledge, the Quizizz group demonstrated significantly higher improvement in test scores.
